Why public school strong voters Matter
Ohio’s public schools are critically underfunded.
Every child in Ohio, regardless of their race, birthplace, or income, deserves access to a fully funded and fully resourced public school. Since 1997, our public education system has been unconstitutionally funded, leaving our schools without the funding and resources they need to serve all of Ohio's children and families. Nearly 90% of Ohio students attend public schools, but Ohio politicians continue to gut public school funding. During the last state budget cycle, rather than fully funding our public schools, legislators prioritized money for unaccountable private school vouchers, unregulated private schools, and pet projects like the Cleveland Browns stadium.
We need elected officials who will support our public school kids.

Action for Honest Education
Action for Honest Education (AHE) is the advocacy arm of Honesty for Ohio Education, created to ensure that Ohioans have a powerful, people-centered voice in policy decisions that shape our schools, communities, and democracy. While our 501(c)(3) continues to lead with research, public education, and community engagement, AHE allows us to do what the moment now demands: organize, mobilize, and influence public policy and elections.
